North Zealand Art Tour
The North Zealand Art Tour is a year-round virtual window for art and crafts in North Zealand. This web site presents the members of the North Zealand Art Tour Association and provides information on the featured artist of the month, the galleries, workshops and other exhibition venues in the region, reviews of current exhibitions from these galleries, museums and other attractions, restaurants, cafes and accommodation. The web site has been developed through a partnership between the Municipalities of Fredensborg, Gribskov, Halsnæs, Helsingør and Hillerød and is maintained by the cultural coordinators from these municipalities. The cultural coordinators are also members of the Board of the North Zealand Art Tour Association.

North Zealand presents a cornucopia of artists and craftspeople
The web site is a portal for residents and tourists who are interested in art and crafts as they travel through North Zealand.

The Art-Tour is part of a development project between the Municipalities of Fredensborg, Gribskov, Halsnæs, Helsingør and Hillerød intended to support creative entrepreneurs and to make them visible as part of the general efforts to disseminate information about North Zealand and its qualities. The Art-Tour  also supports the regional strategies for culture for, by and with people.

The North Zealand Art Tour has two parts: a dynamic web portal that disseminates information year-round on the artists and craftspeople and on activities in the world of art, such as exhibitions and reviews, and an annual Weekend Art Tour the first weekend in September each year.

During the annual Weekend Art Tour, the artists and craftspeople open their workshops to the public and present joint exhibitions.

The North Zealand Art Tour Association carries out these activities. The Association includes the cultural coordinators from the five municipalities, who maintain the web site.
The municipalities primarily created a web portal to present the members of the North Zealand Art Tour Association in addition to launching the Association. The vision of the municipalities is that art will drive the regional experience economy for the benefit of not only tourists but also creative entrepreneurs. The vision also encompasses supporting the potential of creative entrepreneurs to increase their visibility and establish contact with other companies, institutions and organizations that want to make use of and collaborate with the artists for decorative tasks, for art and crafts to benefit personnel and customers, for development projects and for other tasks. The web portal also informs the public about North Zealand’s museums and other attractions and about North Zealand’s culinary wonders and accommodation. Denmark’s Ministry of Culture supports the North Zealand Art Tour financially.
